Heritage Carpentry & Timber Repairs
With over 25 years of hands-on experience, I specialise in carpentry for Wellington villas, bungalows and character homes. I work with rimu, mātaī, tōtara and pine on sash windows, timber doors, native timber floors, trims and traditional joinery. Each job is carefully considered to suit the home and Wellington conditions.
In my Wellington workshop, I restore antique and vintage furniture through structural work, refinishing and preservation. Whether it’s a family heirloom or a more recent vintage piece, the aim is to bring it back into use while retaining the character and details that give it value. Wherever possible, original components are kept and restored.
Furniture & Antique Restoration
I manage each project personally and keep you informed throughout. Before work begins, I’ll prepare a Job Sheet based on your brief, photos and details. It explains the recommended approach and gives you an initial estimate.
If the work can be clearly defined, I’ll provide a fixed-price quote. Where the scope is less certain, a charge-up approach may be more suitable. In that case, labour and materials are itemised, and I keep you informed as the job progresses.
